Procurement Manager

  CSWDC is an independently operated energy business producing and exporting electricity from the combustion of waste.    We currently have the following vacancy:   PROCUREMENT MANAGER   We offer a competitive salary, inclusive and innovative company culture and opportunities for professional growth.  We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services for identified projects. This key role ensures cost-effective procurement, manages supplier relationships, and supports successful project delivery through efficient supply chain management.   Key Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project goals, focusing on cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and quality. Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and onboard new suppliers to mitigate risks and optimise supply chains. Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and compliance with project requirements. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Inventory & Budget Management: Oversee inventory levels, align procurement schedules with project timelines, and manage procurement budgets to ensure cost control. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records and provide regular procurement reports to senior management. Qualifications: Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field. 5-7 years of procurement experience , with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within the energy, engineering, or Waste-to-Energy sectors. Strong negotiation, project management, and supplier relationship management skills. Knowledge of Waste-to-Energy technologies and regulatory requirements is a plus.   Skills & Competencies: Analytical, cost optimisation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle complex procurement activities. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and procurement software. Shift Operations Technician

Shift Operations Technician We offer a competitive salary, inclusive and innovative company culture and opportunities for professional growth.  A vacancy has arisen for a Shift Operations Technician within the Operations team.   You will be an integral member of a team of Operations Technicians on shifts and you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant including: Combustion System, Steam Boilers, Flue Gas Treatment, Steam Turbines, Generators, and all other associated plant and apparatus.  Key Responsibilities:   Safe and Efficient Operation: Operating the plant during normal running, start-ups, and shutdowns, including addressing emergency situations.  Plant Monitoring: Utilising the SCADA system to monitor plant operating conditions, conduct physical checks and record condition of plant and apparatus, monitor other operational requirements such as boiler water chemistry/evaporative cooling tower water chemistry. Environmental Compliance: Monitor emissions and ensure compliance with the Environmental Permit, reporting any issues.  Maintenance Support: Support the maintenance team as needed, including first-line maintenance, inspections, and fault finding.  Procedure Development: Assist with developing and maintaining operating procedures.  Safety and Compliance: Work within the company's safety systems and relevant legislation.  Waste Management: Maximise waste throughput and energy production.  Shift Handover: Conduct thorough shift handovers, reviewing health, safety, environmental and plant issues.  At CSWDC we strive to provide our team with a long-term stable career, training and development, and a positive engaging working environment.
